Hey @MordDorr, Our Marine Spec SP fabric offers top-notch performance with its abrasion, saltwater, and UV resistance. At 180 gsm, it's lighter than Marine Spec BP (the same fabric used on our offshore sailing-specific Meris line) but maintains the same laminated peel strength, pilling rating, 24-hour launder and tear strength, as well as similar abrasion and puncture resistance. @@MustangSurvival The crucial thing missing from this video is that you first need to OPEN/UNLOCK the NEW hammar inflator cap BEFORE trying to mate it with the inlet valve. This would have been super helpful if this was included (probably should have been mentioned somewhere around the 7-minute mark of the video).

​ @MustangSurvival ​ Sorry... that link looks broken/suspicious, so I'm not clicking on it. What I'm referring to is... when i went thru the steps of re-arming my kit, there was no mention about needing to OPEN the little black nob that the guy talks about in the video about putting your thumb down on and pushing down on to lock in place. So... I spent a good amount of time trying to re-arm the kit 'as it was' before finally trying to open it with the key and then trying to place it on and push down with my thumb/finger on the black piece. I'm talking specifically about the 7m:03s mark, where he grabs the inflator cap and places it on top with the inlet valve and then at the 7m:27s mark he places his thumb on the black ring and pushes down. PRIOR TO THAT, there was never any mention about OPENING the inflator cap with the tool/key... so how would a user know they need to do that, if this was their 1st time?! This was my ONLY PROBLEM with the video. The rest of the video was spot-on and perfect for a 1st time noobie such as myself. But this part was a key missing part of the info, that cost me about 20mins of frustration.

What color would you suggest for when you fall overboard or are involved in a helo crash at night possibly in inclement weather?

While it is technically possible to wear foam personal flotation devices (PFDs) underneath jackets, it is not recommended. Foam PFDs are designed to be worn on the outside of clothing or as standalone devices. Wearing them underneath jackets can compromise their functionality and may impede their ability to properly float an individual in case of an emergency. Additionally, wearing a foam PFD under a jacket can restrict movement and may affect comfort and mobility.

@@MustangSurvival I figured so, which is unfortunate because every commercial fisherman I know (bristol bay salmon fisherman) just doesn't wear a PFD because its in the way and gets snagged on the nets. Thanks for your reply.
